Citroen C4
The Citroën C4 is a small family
car (C-segment in Europe) produced by French
automaker Citroën since autumn 2004. It is currently in
its second generation.
The C4
was designed to be the successor to the Citroën Xsara.
It is mechanically similar to the Peugeot 308,
which was launched in 2007. A revised version, with a new front end, reverse
lights, and dashboard revisions, was launched for the 2008/2009 model year.
In
January 2010, it was announced that the coupé version was not to be overhauled,
but instead replaced with the Citroën DS4.
The C4 scored second place in the 2005 European Car of the Year awards.
Ford B-Max
The Ford B-Max (stylized
as Ford B-MAX) is a mini multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) manufactured by the Ford Motor Companysince 2012. Built on the Ford B3
platform, it was initially unveiled as a concept-car at the 2011 Geneva Motor
Show, and was
officially launched at the 2012 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
Production began in June 2012, and marketing of the first units started during
late July. It was launched in the
UK on 1 September 2012.
The
B-Max is based on the Ford Fiesta,
and its main rivals are the Citroën C3 Picasso and the Nissan Note.
It is
yet still unknown if the B-MAX will be sold outside Europe (possibly in
countries which are less sensitive to import taxes such as New Zealand).
Mercedes
Benz B-Class
The Mercedes-Benz B-Class is
a compact luxury car introduced by German automaker Mercedes-Benz.
It is essentially an enlarged A-Class keeping
some of the engines,
but with other more powerful ones available. It has the same basic suspension system. Like the A-Class, and
unlike any other vehicle Mercedes builds or has built, the B-Class is a front wheel
drive vehicle.
Mercedes-Benz
describes the B-Class as a Compact Sports Tourer instead of hatchback or multi-purpose vehicle, like its R-Class model,
which is called a Grand Sports Tourer.
Toyota
Innova
The Toyota Innova is a compact MPV manufactured by Toyota. It is produced
in Indonesia under supervision by Toyota Astra Motor since 2004. As with Toyota Kijang,
which it replaced, the Innova is produced and first marketed in 2004 in
Indonesia. The Innova is part of Toyota's IMV program together with the Toyota Hilux pickup truck and the Fortuner SUV. Its official name in Indonesia is Toyota Kijang Innova, while for other countries it is Innova.
The
Innova is also sold in India (replacing the Toyota Qualis), Malaysia (replacing the Toyota Unser), the Philippines (replacing the Toyota Revo), Taiwan (replacing the Toyota Zace surf), Vietnam (replacing Toyota Zace), Jamaica and Thailand.
Unlike some of its competitors, such as the TATA Sumo
Grande, Chevrolet
Tavera, or the Mahindra Xylo, but like the newly launchedTata Aria,
the Innova looks more like a minivan. The Innova is also available in Brunei, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Oman,Australia, Kuwait and the UAE.
Vellfire
The Toyota Alphard (Japanese:
トヨタ・アルファード Toyota Arufādo) is a full-size luxury MPV (minivan) produced by the Japanese automaker Toyota since 2002. It is available as a
seven- or eight-seater with 2.4 and 3.5 litre gasoline engines in 3 different
model lines - Alphard G, Alphard V, and the Alphard Hybrid, which uses the 2.4
litre engine along with an electrical motor and batteries. Toyota states its
"E-Four electric 4WD system that regulates a rear-mounted,
rear-wheel-propelling electric motor and coordinates electric power
distribution to all four wheels. An ECB (Electronically Controlled Brake system) provides efficient
wheel-by-wheel brake control." The vehicle was named after the Alphard,
the brightest star in the constellation Hydra.
The
Alphard is primarily made for the Japanese market, but is also sold in Bahrain, Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia,Oman, Philippines, Russia,Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, India and Thailand.
In
2006, a Royal Lounge Alphard was introduced. It is a luxurious, four-seat
version of the Alphard. Its traditional competitor
from Nissan is the Elgrand.
Toyota also makes a sportier version of the Alphard, called the Vellfire.
